Databases

The database interface enables applications built using UReason products to exchange data with Relational Database Management Systems. The database server(s) may run on the same host as the client application, or on any other host(s) accessible over a TCP/IP network. It is possible for a single UReason application to be simultaneously connected to multiple different database servers located anywhere on the network. On machines running a supported Microsoft Windows operating system, it is possible to connect to local ODBC datasources without TCP/IP networking installed.

UReason has experience in connecting to a wide variety of databases, including but not limited to:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 & 2008
  • Oracle 8i/9i/10g and 11g
  • MySQL version 5
  • Foxboro AIM
  • Yokogawa Exaquantum
