UReason Is Featured on Valve World Magazine

Valve World is a leading international magazine on industrial valves, actuators and associated products with a worldwide distribution. The magazine is published 10 times per year. The editorial content strongly focuses on end-user experiences and practical applications. Apart from technical articles on valve design, fugitive emissions, fluid control, sealing technology, actuation, topical issues such as maintenance & repair, high-temperature/high-pressure applications, abrasive service and standardization are covered as well.

Predicting Remaining Useful Life with Operating Data UReason Valve World Magazine

UReason is delighted to have been featured in the June 2023 issue of Valve World. In this issue, the main focus is set on emission control. As mentioned by Valve World’s editor – Joanne McIntyre, this is “one of the most important topics for manufacturers and users of valves” , as dealing with high fugitive emission remains a challenge to solve.  Understanding the importance of tackling emission control while keeping the health of control valves at a manageable condition,  UReason presents its Industry 4.0 findings on the development of an auto-diagnosis algorithm for predicting the Remaining Useful Lifetime of control valves and actuators using operating data.

The article titled “Is it time to replace the control valve?” was co-written by our Partner in Digitalization for the DACH region, Nicolas Spiegl, and our Content Partner, Walt Boyes.

Followed is the overview of our article.

“Is it time to replace the control valve?

The health of control valves and actuators is critical to the ability of process plants to operate without significant unplanned downtime events. The paper discusses the development of an audo-diagnosis algotithm fo predicting the Remaining Useful Lifetime of control valves and actuators using operating data.
